Dynamic Pressure
(Symbol q.) (1) The pressure exerted by a fluid, such as air, by virtue of its motion. (2) The pressure exerted on a body, by virtue of its motion through a fluid for example, the pressure exerted on a rocket moving through the atmosphere. (3) Dynamic pressure is the difference between pitot and static pressure.
