| A deflecting force normal to the velocity, to the right of motion in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Soutern Hemisphere. It cannot alter the speed of the particle. Coriolis force tends to balance the pressure gradient between highs and lows and to cause the air to move parallel to the isobars above ground friction levels. |
